Procrastination is the nemesis of every student. But understanding why we procrastinate is the first step to conquering it.
The Pomodoro Technique is one of the most effective methods. Set a timer for 25 minutes of focused work, then take a 5-minute break. After four rounds, take a longer 15-30 minute break.

Eliminate distractions before you start. Put your phone in another room, use website blockers like Cold Turkey, and tell your roommates you’re in focus mode.
Break large tasks into micro-tasks. Instead of ‘Study for Biology exam,’ write ‘Review Chapter 3 cell division diagrams.’ Small wins build momentum.
Use the 2-minute rule: if something takes less than 2 minutes, do it immediately. This prevents small tasks from piling up and overwhelming you.
